About Us
The League for Animal Welfare is a voluntary, nonprofit, humane organization chartered in 1949. The League for Animal Welfare, which has operated as a no-kill shelter since 1964, is dedicated to bettering the lives of companion animals in the Greater Cincinnati area by providing shelter, adoption , public education , and spay/neuter programs .
The League for Animal Welfare receives no government support. All programs are financed solely by donations , membership , contributions , and fundraisers . Except for a small paid shelter staff, all efforts are carried out by volunteers . All contributions made to the League are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
In 2007, we had 467 dog adoptions (an 8% increase over 2006.) We took in 463 dogs, which is the largest number of dog intakes in the history of the League. We also had 421 cat adoptions (a 2.5% increase over 2006.)

Hours:
*It takes approximately 60 - 90 minutes to complete a dog adoption; and approximately 30 - 45 minutes to complete a cat adoption. Please plan your visit accordingly.

Directions:
From I-275, exit at Batavia exit 63B - Rt. 32.
Go East on Rt. 32 for approximately 3 miles (past the car dealers and The Tractor Supply Company).
At the third stoplight, take a right on Old 74 (there will be a Speedway on the corner).
Turn right onto Armstrong.
Follow Armstrong until the road ends at Taylor (about 3/4 mile).
Turn left onto Taylor Rd. and we are the first driveway on the right.
We are on the same street as the Clermont County airport.
