Our Education Programs
The key to improving the lives of companion animals is to teach the next generation of pet owners how to be compassionate and responsible. To achieve this goal, The League for Animal Welfare offers age-appropriate pet education programs to schools, scout troops, libraries, church organizations, and more.
Our education presentations generally last 45 minutes to one hour and cover the pet overpopulation crisis, spaying and neutering, proper vet care, dog bite prevention, and playtime with the animals. One cat and one dog are usually part of the program to illustrate proper handling skills. Education programs can be conducted at the shelter, or other locations. All education programs are free, but we always appreciate donations.
If you have any questions regarding our programs or would like to set up a presentation, please contact Beverly Thomas at (513) 221-5807. Anyone interested in becoming part of the League’s education team should send an e-mail to lfaw_vols@fuse.net.
