The League depends on funding from community donations and grants to fulfill its mission to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati by providing a compassionate no-kill animal shelter and programs that promote responsible pet care. Whether it’s a one-time gift or a small amount charged monthly on a credit or debit card – say, the price of a mocha soy latte with extra cream — every dollar helps ensure that a homeless dog or cat who needs shelter and loving care receives it. The League does not receive any government or national funding.
As an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit, contributions to the League are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The League is proud to have received its fifth consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation's largest evaluator of non-profit organizations. This highest possible rating is based on such key factors as sound fiscal management, transparency and ethical standards. Learn more about our rating here!
